The Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics, School of Engineering and Technology, establishes a collaboration with the Faculty of Informatics and Computing, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia, and the Informatics Department, Universitas Pembangunan Jaya, Indonesia, in academics, teaching, research, and innovation. The objective is to strengthen our academic collaboration in the fields of AI, Data Analytics, and IOT (Internet of Things), aiming for excellence at the international level.
On Tuesday, 12th December 2023, the international webinar titled ‘The future unveiled: IOT and AI in perfect harmony’ was held through Webex and Facebook live. During this event, Assoc.Prof.Ts.Dr. Mohd Khalid bin Awang, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Computing at UniSZA University, delivered an opening speech with the importance and objectives of this collaboration. Experts in AI and IOT from the three universities, including Dr. Md Eshrat E Alahi, Asst.Prof.Dr. Bukhoree Sahoh, Dr. Mohammad Nasucha, and Dr. Azrul Amri Jamal, were invited to share knowledge, discuss, and debate the applications of AI and IOT in various fields such as agriculture, computer vision, healthcare, etc. They provided valuable discussion to faculty, students, and other interested attendees. Furthermore, we agreed to continue this collaboration with the exchange of researchers in research groups focused on Intelligence Data Analytics, Network Communication and High-Performance Computing, Advanced Multimedia, Computer Vision and Knowledge Management, Autonomous and Intelligent Systems, Computational and Applied Mathematics, and Information and Communication Security in the near future.
