The School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University conducted an informative session on December 12-13, 2023, to disseminate the university’s academic curriculum to Ban Yan Yao Public School in Phang Nga Province and Plookpanya Municipal School in Phuket, both of which are schools under the patronage of His Majesty the King and Princess Mother’s Commemoration.
The aim of this endeavor was to provide 11th and 12th-grade students with essential insights into undergraduate education opportunities, facilitating their preparation for future applications to the university system in the academic year 2024-2025.
Walailak University’s School of Engineering and Technology proudly offers a comprehensive array of six graduate programs: Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering, Petrochemical and Polymer Engineering, and Mechanical and Robotics Engineering.
Recognizing the significance of proactive public relations, the initiative sought to raise awareness among students about the various educational options available in the field of engineering. By providing accurate and detailed information about teaching methodologies, extracurricular activities, and career prospects post-graduation, faculty members and alumni from the School of Engineering and Technology delivered lectures during the event. The primary goal was to encourage more students to consider and apply for these courses.
This outreach endeavor aimed not only to increase enrollment but also to foster greater familiarity and understanding of the distinctive features and teaching styles unique to the School of Engineering and Technology. As a result, it is anticipated that this engagement will further motivate and attract students towards pursuing studies within the curriculum of the School of Engineering and Technology.
