The Civil Engineering Program at the School of Engineering and Technology recently orchestrated a comprehensive training session on upcoming building material innovations in collaboration with Crocodile Corporation Co., Ltd. The event, which took place on November 18, 2023, aimed to equip students in the field of civil engineering with profound insights into the analysis, design, and implementation of construction projects, all while emphasizing safety, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
In the ever-evolving landscape of building materials technology, advancements continually reshape the capabilities of materials, enhancing characteristics like compressive strength, durability, and versatility across various applications. However, despite the rigorous academic focus on theory within the undergraduate curriculum, there exists a gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application skills among students upon graduation.
Recognizing this gap, the program adopted a problem-based learning approach during the training.
