On 21 August 2026, the Center of Excellence in Wood and Biomaterials, Walailak University, welcomed the Deputy Director of the Research Institute and staff members from Phetchaburi Rajabhat University for a study visit and knowledge exchange on knowledge transfer, production management, and the commercial utilization of research and innovation.
The visit aimed to provide an opportunity for both institutions to exchange experiences and approaches related to research and innovation management, as well as mechanisms for translating academic knowledge into practical applications. Particular emphasis was placed on developing research outcomes that can be further extended into production processes, value creation, and applications in industrial and commercial contexts.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the operations of the Center of Excellence in Wood and Biomaterials, including its approaches to knowledge development, resource and production management, and the utilization of research and innovation to generate economic and social benefits. The participants also exchanged views on technology transfer, collaborative network development, and mechanisms that can support research outcomes in moving from laboratory-scale development toward practical and effective implementation.
The study visit and knowledge-sharing activities provided an important opportunity to strengthen relationships and expand collaboration between Walailak University and Phetchaburi Rajabhat University, particularly in the areas of research, innovation development, and the transfer of knowledge for commercial utilization.
