On August 3, 2026, the School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, visited Wat Khuan Wiset Foundation Secondary School in Trang Province to promote its academic programs and provide educational guidance to students planning to pursue higher education. The activity also introduced students to future study and career pathways in engineering and technology, ahead of Walailak University’s TCAS70 admission opening on August 15, 2026.
The activity aimed to enhance students’ understanding of higher education opportunities in engineering and technology. Representatives from the School of Engineering and Technology provided information about the School’s academic programs, teaching and learning approaches, and the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience that students can expect throughout their university studies.
The session was designed to help students better understand the different educational pathways available to them and to encourage them to select programs that align with their interests, strengths, and future career goals. Students were also introduced to essential skills developed through engineering and technology education, including analytical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and the application of knowledge to real-world situations.
In addition, guidance was provided on how students can prepare for university admission, including academic planning, preparation of application information and documents, and researching individual programs before making admission decisions. These preparations are particularly important for students planning to apply through the TCAS70 admission system, enabling them to approach the application process with greater confidence and a clearer understanding of their preferred field of study.
Throughout the activity, students had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange information directly with university representatives. Topics included university learning experiences, student life, engineering and technology programs, preparation for higher education, and career opportunities after graduation. This interactive environment helped students gain a clearer picture of how their university education can lead to future professional opportunities.
