School of Engineering and Technology Staff Join n8n Workflow Training to Enhance Automation Skills for the Digital Workplace

On 14–15 May 2026, staff members from the School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, participated in a training program on creating workflows using the n8n platform. The training aimed to enhance participants’ skills in designing and managing automated work processes while promoting the effective use of digital technology to make daily operations faster, more accurate, and more efficient.

The training focused on the concepts and principles of Workflow Automation, which involves using technology to connect and automate various stages of work processes. By reducing repetitive manual tasks, workflow automation can help staff save time and allow them to focus more on tasks that require analysis, decision-making, creativity, and higher-value contributions.

Participants learned how to apply the n8n platform to a wide range of work-related tasks, including project preparation and monitoring, file and document management, data transfer and integration between systems, Facebook page management, and other supporting operations. They also explored how n8n can connect with different digital tools and platforms to create more systematic and continuous work processes.

In addition, the training provided opportunities for participants to practice designing workflows that suit the specific needs of their respective units. This included analyzing existing work processes, identifying repetitive or unnecessary steps, determining which tasks could be automated, setting workflow conditions, and connecting relevant data sources and digital tools. Such activities helped participants gain a clearer understanding of how workflow design can be adapted to real working environments.

The application of Workflow Automation can play an important role in reducing the burden of repetitive tasks, minimizing human error, and improving the overall organization of data. This is particularly useful for document management, administrative work, public relations, information management, and other support functions that involve recurring processes or data from multiple sources.

The knowledge and skills gained from this training can be further applied to improve internal management efficiency. Benefits may include reducing processing time, simplifying work procedures, improving data accuracy, and enhancing the quality of services provided to faculty members, students, staff, and other stakeholders of the School.

Participation in this training also reflects the commitment of the School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, to continuously developing the capabilities of its personnel and preparing them to respond effectively to rapid technological change. The School recognizes the importance of equipping staff with practical digital skills and encouraging the use of appropriate technological tools to support their responsibilities.

The School of Engineering and Technology will continue to promote digital skills development and the adoption of technology to support organizational operations. These efforts aim to improve internal management processes, reduce unnecessary work steps, and create more efficient ways of working, thereby strengthening the readiness of both the organization and its personnel to adapt successfully to the evolving digital environment.
