On January 18, 2024, faculty members and academic professionals from the School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University conducted promotional activities for engineering programs in Surat Thani province. The purpose was to provide information and understanding about pursuing undergraduate degrees to sixth-year high school students, preparing them for university applications in the 2024 academic year.
The School of Engineering and Technology offers a range of graduate programs, comprising six courses: Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Computer and Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Civil Engineering, Petrochemical and Polymer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering and Robotics.
Given the importance of proactive promotion, the initiative aimed to familiarize students with these engineering disciplines, providing accurate information about the curriculum, extracurricular activities, and future career opportunities upon graduation. The event featured lectures from faculty members and alumni who shared their experiences in these fields. The goal is to increase the number of students interested in applying to these programs, making the courses more widely known and recognized among students.
This outreach activity also serves to inform the general public about the programs, teaching methodologies, and the potential for career development. It is expected that such initiatives will inspire more students to enroll in these engineering courses, contributing to increased awareness and familiarity with the School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University.
