Computer Engineering and Intelligent Systems Students win 1 gold medal and 7 silver medals from the invention and innovation contest at the Thailand New Gen Inventors Award 2024 (I-New Gen Award 2024)

The School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, extends the congratulations to the students of the Computer Engineering and Intelligent Systems program for winning one gold medal and seven silver medals in the invention and innovation competition at the Thailand New Gen Inventors Award 2024 (I-New Gen Award 2024) held on 2-6 February 2024 at event hall 100 – 102, BITEC Bangna, Bangkok. The awards are listed as follows:

Gold medal in Energy, Materials, and Biochemistry category:
The project on the development of remote sensing system using time series data to analyze the water quality of surface water sources in the southern region of the Gulf of Thailand. The creators of the work are Mr. Punnawich Foithong, Mr. Santikorn Thongnui, and Mr. Chakrit Sunthornkanont, with Asst. Prof. Korakot Suwanrat as the project advisor.

Silver medal in Energy, Materials, and Biochemistry category:
1. The project on developing technology for electric motorcycle charging that controls charging and payment through online website. The creators of the work are Ms. Saruta Nontasirivat, Ms. Aranya Wichayakul, and Mr. Sirisit Santhamitr, with Dr. Chirawat Wattanapanich as the project advisor.

2. The project on an intelligent bus sign with weather forecasting and 24-hour passenger monitoring. The creators of the work are Ms. Panpatsa Puchanukul, Ms. Sashita Asadakorn, and Mr. Veerasak Butkob, with Dr. Arsanchai Sukkuea as the project advisor.

 

Silver medal in Tourism category:
The project on a system for collecting and analyzing data of exhibition visitors through Bluetooth network. The creators of the work are Mr. Jesada Upla, Ms. Panyarat Sukhsai, and Ms. Wanicha Longti, with Asst. Prof. Korakot Suwanrat as the project advisor.

Silver medal in Agriculture category:
1. The project on developing a model of forecasting time series data for weather conditions and water management. The creators of the work are Mr. Sukiflee Jebo, Mr. Piyaphon Thinkorn, and Mr. Pantakan Puipon, with Dr. Eshrat E Alahi as the project advisor.

2. The project on an automatic fruit sorting conveyor belt system. The creators of the work are Mr. Nishafree Nisaya, Mr. Firhan Kitichai, and Mr. Anwa Jesni, with Assoc.Prof. Dr. Wattanapong Kerdthongmee as the project advisor.

3. The project on developing detection of dead and infected pigs using artificial intelligence technology. The creators of the work are Ms. Kawinthip Yapan, Mr. Waranon Phuyungkunanon, and Mr. Sarawut Chuaytruk, with Dr. Arsanchai Sukkuea as the project advisor.

Silver medal in the Health and Medical category:
The project on developing a prototype robot to assist disabled individuals in mobility. The creators of the work are Mr. Natthapong Chairit, Mr. Natchawich Khuadkaew, and Ms. Josequin Parker, with Dr. Arsanchai Sukkuea as the project advisor.
