The School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University is proud to announce the remarkable achievement of two of its esteemed faculty members. Associate Professor Dr. Nuttawit Wattanasakulpong, specializing in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, and Dr. MD H.R. E. Alahi, an expert in Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence programs, have been recognized as among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University in 2023.
This significant accolade places Walailak University researchers in the global elite, as the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” ranking, issued by Stanford University, signifies the highest lifetime citation impact and the highest specific citation impact for 2022. Five researchers from Walailak University made this prestigious list.
On October 4, 2023, Elsevier Press, in collaboration with Stanford University, two of the world’s leading institutions, officially revealed the list of researchers with the most cited research findings in the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” by Stanford University in 2023. Among the listed researchers, five are from Walailak University.
This distinction is based on the career-long citation impact of two researchers/scientists, specifically:
Associate Professor Dr. Manat Chaijan from the School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry, specializing in Food Science.
Associate Professor Dr. Veeranoot Nissapatorn from the School of Allied Medicine, focusing on Tropical Medicine. These researchers have stood out among over 200,000 researchers worldwide.
