Congratulations to students of the civil engineering program that the research team consisted of Ms. Pruspa Bangriang and Ms. Tuvekumarine Toosoh under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanongsak Imjai. They received a grant of 20,000 baht from the Siamayamato Steel Co., Ltd. for conducting the senior project, entitled “the efficiency of composite beam compression from composite steel and hot-rolled gabion for thin floor systems.”
Siam Yamato Steel Co., Ltd. or SYS, a manufacturer of H beam wide flank steel, has the policy to promote knowledge in building construction with steel structures. Therefore, there is a scholarship program to support senior projects. The goal is to develop students to develop knowledge from research in the use of steel structures. Furthermore, this project will promote the efficient use of steel structures in civil engineering practice. The research team has submitted a proposal and received a research grant. Moreover, SYS will publish this paper to the engineers and the general public.
