On May 12, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Voravuth Somsak, Deputy Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology and Acting Vice President of Walailak University, warmly welcomed the teachers and students of Mathayom Suksa 4 from Municipal 2 School (Wat Kapang Surin) in Trang. A total of 122 students gathered at the Srithammarat Room on the third floor of the Architecture and Design Laboratory Building to learn about the study opportunities offered by Walailak University.
The Grade 4 students displayed a keen interest in various academic programs, including the School of Accounting and Finance, School of Engineering, School of Public Health, School of Liberal Arts, and School of Law. Through an interactive session titled “The Right University – Favorite Course,” the students were encouraged to explore their own passions and consider pursuing higher education.
The School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University, located in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, offers six graduate programs, namely Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering, Petrochemicals and Polymers, and Mechanical and Robotics Engineering. In addition to the academic curriculum, the school also organizes extracurricular activities that provide insights into career prospects after graduation. These activities feature lectures by faculty members and alumni who have excelled in their respective fields. It is anticipated that such initiatives will generate greater interest among students, raise awareness about the programs offered, and ensure that the wider community is well-informed about the unique characteristics and teaching approach of the School of Engineering and Technology.
