On 20 March 2026, faculty members and third-year students from the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering Program, School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, participated in an educational study visit to Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited. The visit was organized to provide students with valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom and to strengthen their understanding of how chemical engineering knowledge is applied in real industrial operations.
The study visit offered students an opportunity to observe and learn about the overall working systems within a major industrial organization. Through the visit, students gained broader perspectives on industrial processes, operational management, energy management, safety practices, and environmental management, all of which are important components of modern industrial operations.
During the visit, students received information about the company’s operations and had opportunities to exchange knowledge and perspectives related to engineering applications in the workplace. They were able to connect theoretical concepts learned in class with real-world industrial practices, helping them better understand how engineering principles are applied to improve efficiency, solve operational problems, and support effective industrial management.
The experience also enabled students to gain a clearer understanding of the roles and responsibilities of engineers in professional working environments. By observing actual operations and learning directly from industry professionals, students were encouraged to develop important skills such as observation, analytical thinking, questioning, and problem-solving.
In addition, exposure to a real workplace environment provided students with valuable insights into career pathways and the competencies required for future employment. This experience will be beneficial in preparing students for internships, cooperative education, senior projects, and professional careers after graduation.
Educational study visits are an important part of the learning approach of the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering Program, which emphasizes the integration of strong academic foundations with practical experience. Such activities help students develop not only technical knowledge, but also professional skills, adaptability, teamwork, and readiness to meet the expectations of the industrial sector.
The Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering Program, School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, would like to sincerely thank Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited for warmly welcoming the faculty members and students and for providing them with an opportunity to learn from real industrial operations. The knowledge and experiences gained from this visit will contribute significantly to the students’ academic development and help prepare them to become competent and professional engineers in the future.
