Friday, November 12, 2021 Civil Engineering Program organized a special lecture on the topic “Preparing portfolio documents for applying for a general engineer”, honored by an external speaker, Dr. Thanet Weerasiri กิจกรรมนี้ถูกจัดขึ้นเพื่อให้นักศึกษาที่กำลังศึกษาในระดับชั้นปีที่ 1 – 4 และศิษย์เก่าสำนักวิชาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ ให้ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมได้รับทราบถึงวิธีการขั้นตอนการขอรับใบอนุญาตประกอบวิชาชีพวิศวกรรมควบคุม การเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีระหว่างวิศวกรรุ่นพี่สู่วิศวกรรุ่นน้อง พร้อมทั้งสร้างเครือข่ายวิศวกรให้เห็นถึงความสำคัญของการขอรับใบอนุญาตประกอบวิชาชีพวิศวกรรมควบคุม รวมถึงการแนะนำวิธีการปฏิบัติตนก่อนเข้าสู่วิชาชีพวิศวกรรม ใบประกอบวิชาชีพวิศวกรรมควบคุม หรือ ใบกว. ออกโดยสภาวิศวกร จำเป็นสำหรับการทำงานของวิศวกรเฉพาะงานที่ต้องเกี่ยวข้องกับความเสี่ยงเป็นอันตรายต่อชีวิตและทรัพย์สินของผู้ใช้งานและสาธารณชน จะต้องได้รับการอบรมและทดสอบจากสภาวิศวกรในด้าน จรรยาบรรณ ความปลอดภัย กฎหมายท้องถิ่นเกี่ยวกับงานวิศวกรรมผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อม และทักษะวิศวกรรม จึงจะได้เป็นวิศวกรที่ได้รับอนุญาตตามกฎหมาย ประกอบด้วยสาขาวิศวกรรมควบคุม
