On September 30, 2026, Walailak University held a flower presentation ceremony to congratulate students and staff members who have brought recognition and pride to the University. The ceremony took place prior to the 7th Walailak University Executive Meeting of 2026 at Mokhalan Room, 3rd Floor, Professor Dr. Vichit Srisa-an Building, Walailak University.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, presented bouquets of flowers to students and staff members in recognition of their outstanding achievements in academic and professional development.
The University congratulated students from the Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Program, School of Engineering and Technology, known as Team MRE WU, for winning Third Place in the Cobot Contest 2026, held in Khon Kaen Province. The team received an honorary trophy and a cash prize of 15,000 baht.
Team MRE WU consisted of Mr. Nattawat Prasertsang, Mr. Thanakorn Krainara, and Mr. Kankawi Meechana, under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Supakit Iadtong.
This achievement reflects the students’ strong capabilities in applying knowledge in mechanical engineering, automation systems, and robotics technology. It also demonstrates their teamwork, problem-solving skills, and ability to apply classroom knowledge in a competitive environment beyond the University.
In addition, Walailak University also congratulated Associate Professor Dr. Wipawee Dechapanya, a staff member of the School of Engineering and Technology, on receiving the UKPSF Senior Fellow recognition. This accomplishment reflects her continued professional development and commitment to high-quality teaching and educational practice at an international standard.
