School of Engineering and Technology Joins “Get to Know TCAS70 Before Anyone Else,” Inspiring Grade 12 Students to Explore Engineering Careers

The School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, brought together faculty members, staff, and students from its six academic programs to participate in the “Get to Know TCAS70 Before Anyone Else with Walailak University” event. The activity was organized to provide Grade 12 students and other prospective applicants with an opportunity to learn more about the university’s academic programs and prepare for admission in the 2027 academic year.

At the event, all six programs under the School of Engineering and Technology were represented: Electrical Engineering; Mechanical and Robotics Engineering; Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Petrochemical and Polymer Engineering; Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence; and Civil Engineering.

Each program provided information about its curriculum, distinctive areas of study, learning activities, career opportunities, and the essential skills required for working in today’s rapidly changing technological world. Participating students were able to speak directly with faculty members and current university students, allowing them to ask questions and gain a clearer understanding of each program.

The Grade 12 students also received information about classroom learning, practical laboratory sessions, the use of engineering tools and equipment, student projects, cooperative education, and university life. In addition, the programs presented a variety of student projects, engineering equipment, and interactive demonstrations. These activities enabled participants to observe and experience practical engineering applications, helping them better understand what studying engineering at the university level is really like.

The exhibition area was filled with excitement, enjoyment, and enthusiasm from students who were exploring their interests and planning their future educational pathways. The event not only provided useful information about university admission but also served as an inspiring space for young people to recognize the important roles of engineers in the development of technology, energy systems, industrial processes, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and innovations that respond to the changing needs of society.

The School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, is committed to delivering education that combines strong academic knowledge with practical experience. Its programs aim to develop students’ professional competencies, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, teamwork skills, and effective application of modern technology. These competencies will prepare graduates to become qualified engineers and technology professionals who can contribute meaningfully to future industries and society.

Students who dream of becoming engineers, creating new technologies, and contributing to innovative development are encouraged to prepare for the upcoming admission process and become part of the School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, in the 2027 academic year.
