On November 27, 2024, the School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, organized a welcome and networking event for graduate students, including new and current students, along with faculty members from the Master of Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering programs. The event was held in Room 124, Academic Building 4.
The primary objective of this event was to welcome new students and foster positive relationships among graduate students and their thesis advisors. It also provided an opportunity for students to get to know one another and familiarize themselves with faculty members in the program. This environment encouraged knowledge exchange, mutual support, and friendly interaction between students and professors.
The event featured a variety of activities, such as:
- Experience Sharing: Senior students shared their experiences on conducting thesis research, overcoming research challenges, and preparing for academic presentations.
- Team-Building Activities: Group activities and personal introductions helped strengthen connections and promote a collaborative atmosphere among students.
The event’s atmosphere was warm and engaging, with active participation from both students and faculty members. Attendees exchanged valuable ideas and built positive relationships, laying a strong foundation for personal and academic development at the graduate level.
It is hoped that this event will help students feel more connected to a robust learning community, empowering them to progress together.
