The School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, proudly congratulates the students from the Mechanical Engineering and Robotics program for their remarkable achievement in the “Industrial Robotics and Automation with Industry 4.0 Technology” competition. The team secured 4th place (Consolation Prize), winning a trophy, a cash prize of 5,000 THB, and the prestigious KUKA Sim Simulation Software (15 users), valued at 200,000 THB.
The competition took place from October 16-18, 2024, at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna, Bangkok. Participants from universities across the nation competed in this prestigious event, which also featured a royal trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The event highlighted the application of advanced Industry 4.0 technologies in robotics and automation, specifically focusing on the category of Robot Welding using CMT (Cold Metal Transfer) technology.
The Walailak University team consisted of Mr. Phuwanat Phongtanyawiriya, Mr. Rungrueng Kliangpradit, and Mr. Muhammad Habib Jezo, under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Bantheng Srikhakan. This competition not only tested participants’ technical knowledge but also challenged their problem-solving, teamwork, and planning abilities in real-world scenarios.
This achievement is a testament to the students’ commitment, expertise, and hard work, reflecting their strong capabilities in the field of mechanical engineering and robotics.
