Electrical Engineering Students Visit Hat Kang Han 3 Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, Assistant Professor Dr. Charernkiat Pochaiya led first-year students enrolled in the Conceptual Electrical Engineering course on an educational field trip to the wind turbines at Hat Kang Han 3 Station in Hua Sai District, managed by EA Wind Had Kang Han 3 Co., Ltd. This excursion aimed to enhance students’ understanding of electrical engineering concepts and provide a clear picture of engineering work, thereby inspiring their studies. The visit is part of the fieldwork component to observe real-world operations.

The Electrical Engineering program at Walailak University emphasizes a blended learning approach that integrates classroom learning with field trips and hands-on experiences. This methodology aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical experience, fostering their professional development. The curriculum is designed to extend learning beyond the classroom, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.

The field trip to the wind turbine station was organized to give students insight into actual industrial processes and systems. This experience is intended to enhance their understanding and integrate the knowledge gained from both classroom instruction and on-site observations. The goal is to develop students’ skills in various aspects, including academics, project work, and research, as well as to prepare them for cooperative education programs.
