The School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University is proud to congratulate Mr. Nithit Thamrongtheppitak, a third-year student in the Petrochemical and Polymer Engineering program, for being selected in the final pitching round as one of the 35 representatives from Thailand for the “Experiential Learning Program: ELP — Accelerating Entrepreneurship through Experience-Based Learning in Higher Education Institutions with Partner Networks.”
From July 6-8, 2024, the WEDA Student Entrepreneur Development Center at Walailak University led a team of student representatives to participate in the Regional Bootcamp of the Experiential Learning Program Batch 2 (ELP Program#2). This program, designed to accelerate entrepreneurship through experiential learning, was held at the Northern Science Park Administration Building in Chiang Mai. The program aims to promote experiential learning to fast-track entrepreneurship among university students in collaboration with regional science park networks and international partners.
The results were impressive, with Mr. Akkarakornchai Thirasateearat from the School of Medicine and Mr. Nithit Thamrongtheppitak from the School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University being selected as 2 of the 35 representatives from Thailand. They will have the opportunity to visit leading startup companies abroad. The selection process included over 850 students from 16 regional science park network universities across the country.
The ELP Batch 2 program aims to foster entrepreneurial thinking in students by connecting them with market opportunities, sharing and exchanging ideas for creating and developing innovative businesses. It encourages students to learn from real-world experiences both domestically and internationally, and apply this knowledge to build innovative businesses in the future.
The selected students will participate in exchange programs with business experts (incubators) in five countries: the United Kingdom, France, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.
