Students from the School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University attended a special lecture on Monday, August 7, 2023 on the topic of “Guidance on Obtaining a Professional License in Control Engineering.” The lecture was presented by Asst. Prof. Yuttana Mahaschariyawong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Engineers and Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Welfare and Member Relations.
The lecture was attended by students from the fourth year of the Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering programs. The lecture covered a variety of topics related to obtaining a professional license in control engineering, including the requirements for becoming a licensed engineer, the process of applying for a license, and the benefits of being a licensed engineer.
Asst. Prof. Mahaschariyawong also discussed the importance of professional ethics in the engineering field. He stressed that engineers have a responsibility to act in the best interests of the public and to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct.
The lecture was well-received by the students, who said that they learned a lot about the process of obtaining a professional license in control engineering. They also said that they appreciated the opportunity to learn from a seasoned engineer with a wealth of experience in the field.
