Chemical Engineering Students Learn Outside the Classroom at Various Establishments for the Academic Year 2022

From April 23 to 27, 2023, third-year chemical engineering students from Walailak University had the opportunity to learn outside the classroom by visiting three different establishments: Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology in Amata City Industrial Estate, Rayong; Resonac Automotive Products (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. – RAPT in Siam Eastern Industrial Park, Rayong; and On-Nut Waste Transfer Station. The study tour project was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wichitpan Rongwong, with co-supervision and advice provided by Dr. Kritamorn Jitrangsri and Dr. Suwichak Chaisit to ensure the students gained practical work experience and were better prepared for future cooperatives. The trip was enjoyable, and all students arrived back at Walailak University safely.

The chemical engineering course at Walailak University is designed to provide students with opportunities to learn outside of traditional classroom settings. The study tour project aims to give students firsthand experience of processes and working systems in actual workplaces to supplement their theoretical knowledge. This helps students to develop both academically and personally, preparing them for future projects, research, and cooperative education opportunities.
