Chemical Engineering And Pharmaceutical Chemistry Courses School Of Engineering And Technology Study Visit At Nateechai Co., Ltd.

On February 8, 2023, 09.00 – 12.00 am. The School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nirattisai Rakmak led the third-year students in Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, School of Engineering and Technology for observational study at Nateechai Co., Ltd. at No. 1 Moo 2, Tha Rong Chang Subdistrict, Phunphin District, Surat Thani, Thailand. Nateechai Co., Ltd. runs a beverage business about distilled spirits and mixed spirits production. It such an honor for our third- year students to be invited for observational visiting at the company. The students have learnt about the production of white liquor which is a hero product of this company. Moreover, they have studied about the biogas energy production systems and the wastewater treatment process which has been certified by the Ministry of Industry in terms of the quality of drained-water from factory. This observational study is a part of environmental chemical engineering courses to provide students with a better understanding of the impacts of environmental pollution, environmental standards and requirements, origin and characteristics of industrial wastewater and its treatment methods, the process of controlling and releasing air pollution, hazardous waste and waste disposal. The students could gain the experiences from on-site operations and apply them to the effective operations. It is also to prepare the students for co-operative education in very near future.
