The result appears that the team of civil engineering students School of Engineering and Technology Walailak University, 3rd year and 4th year, can win “Outstanding Awards” from this contest and receive certificates as follows:
1) Thesis on the topic “The shear behavior of concrete mixed with old concrete scraps by photographic processing techniques and finite elements regulation (Estimation of Shear behavior for Recycled Aggregate Concrete using Digital Image Correlation and FEA). Research team 1. Mr. Paradorn Kanha. 2. Ms. Wisaruta Rikssamosorn and 3. Ms. Vethanee Rikssamosorn, with Assistant Professor Dr. Thanongsak Imjai and Ajarn Dr. Montien Tribkit as advisors.
2) Thesis on the topic “Strengthening performance of low strength reinforced concrete beam using post-tensioned high ductile metal straps) Research team 1. Mr. Komsan Daengyam 2.Mr.Ktipot Sanupong 3.Mr.Weerasit Chamnankit with Assistant Professor Dr.Thanongsak Imjai as advisor.
The 6th year of thesis project was organized because concrete is the most commonly used building material and its applications are becoming more and more diverse nowadays. The use of concrete also takes into account the social, economic and environmental impact. Young engineers working in concrete need a comprehensive body of knowledge. than previous engineers Knowledge development skills are therefore very important skills for the new generation of civil engineers. To promote the development of such skills among students in Thailand The Concrete Association of Thailand therefore organizes the project for the thesis contest. To be part of encouraging those involved to see the importance of such issues and to encourage students who are able to do well in the thesis work to be able to apply their knowledge to further work.
