Dean aims to develop teaching and learning to international standards following the UKPSF Professional Standards Framework.

School of Engineering and Technology congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suratsavadee Koonlaboon Korkua, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, has been accredited to UKPSF professional standards at the Senior Fellow level.

School of Engineering and Technology follows the policy of Walailak University to reform teaching and learning to become a university of quality. Adopting the United Kingdom Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) for teaching and supporting learning activities, according to the Higher Education Academy (HEA), empowers the university’s workforce to be knowledgeable and capable of transferring knowledge of standardized teaching and learning management. Becoming a member of the HEA creates partnerships to develop training courses to develop lecturers’ competencies as per UKPSF professional standards.

Currently, 35 lecturers at the School of Engineering and Technology have received UKPSF professional standard accreditation, categorized into 6 Senior Fellow level and 29 Fellow level. These skilled lecturers apply active learning integrated with smart classroom technology to improve learning more effectively.

This advancement is another breakthrough for the School of Engineering and Technology in adopting UKPSF standards to enhance faculty performance. All the lecturers have the skills and developed to become professional instructors internationally. Applying the UKPSF framework in teaching results in the development of learners to think, analyze, synthesize, and debate to become quality graduates. Ultimately, it leads to positive outcomes for the profession and society in the future.
