Asst. Prof. Dr. Kittiphong Khun Jariyakul received the prestigious research award

School of Engineering and Technology Walailak University Congratulations to Asst. Prof. Dr. Kittiphong Khun Jariyakul, who is a Lecturer in Civil Engineering. Which has been honored with a research award, outstanding researcher, high quality publication (Q1) from the Research and Innovation Institute

Research on waste utilization, including rice husk ash and bagasse ash Used as raw materials for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete. The results of this research can be further developed to use the said wastes to produce real products. That can be used commercially And able to apply the behavior that is applied or as a guideline for the development of other types of waste Can be used as raw materials for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete. In which autoclaved aerated concrete has superior properties to general bricks in strength. Heat resistance Soundproof and fireproof Can build quickly Can be used for both interior and exterior walls Environmentally friendly material

Assistant Professor Dr. Kittiphong graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Civil Engineering and Technology Program King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering And Ph.D. Environmental Technology King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi By conducting research on “The use of aluminum-contaminated waste and rice husk to produce autoclaved aerated concrete” After that, doing post-doctoral research Environmental Technology Program, Faculty of Energy, Environment and Materials King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi Before becoming a professor in civil engineering School of Engineering and Resources in 2016

When asked about the motivation to conduct research Asst. Prof. Dr. Kittiphong told us that in the past, humans have seen a lot of waste. Causing a lot of pollution to the environment For this reason Therefore has an idea to recycle waste To be useful Which one of the products that has been used waste and continuously developed, that is “Building materials” combined with the inclination to see the development of new innovations That is environmentally friendly Is the reason for having ideas in the development of various waste To be able to become products or new innovations in construction materials Including the development of building materials with greater capabilities, such as compression strength, heat insulation. Energy use in production is reduced. Or radiation protection etc.

The School of Engineering and Technology and the researcher therefore saw the opportunity to develop the capability of technology transfer and push for the use of technology and innovation for commercial and social use in the construction industry.
