On August 25, 2025, the School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, showcased an innovation entitled “Developing a Student Support System through the Life Balance Diagram Combined with In-Depth Interviews” at Walailak Innovation Day, a significant platform for presenting innovations and research dedicated to advancing education and society.
The Life Balance Diagram was designed as a tool to assess the overall well-being of students—covering academic life, lifestyle, mental health, relationships, and personal interests. When integrated with in-depth interviews, the approach allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the real issues students face.
A key benefit of this innovation is that it enables academic advisors and related stakeholders to design more targeted counseling and support plans. This helps reduce the risk of students encountering severe problems that could lead to dropping out, while also creating opportunities for better adjustment and academic success.
