Walailak University was honored to welcome the delegation from National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan, led by Prof. Guo-En Chang, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering, on January 14, 2025. The visit focused on exploring collaborative opportunities between the two universities.
The visit included a comprehensive presentation about CCU, highlighting its international internship programs, advanced research opportunities, and commitment to fostering global academic collaborations. Discussions focused on dual-degree programs, semester exchanges, research partnerships, and scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students.
Meeting Outcomes:
Dual-Degree Program Development: Both institutions agreed to explore dual-degree opportunities in engineering fields, allowing students to graduate with degrees from both universities in the future.
Internship Programs: Walailak University students were invited to join CCU’s international internship program, offering hands-on research experience in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing.
Joint Research Initiatives: Plans were discussed for faculty collaborations on key research areas, including smart manufacturing, AI, and energy systems, with the aim of publishing joint papers and applying for joint research grants.
Student Mobility: Enhanced student exchange programs were proposed, enabling students to gain international exposure and cross-cultural experiences.
The visit marks a significant step toward deepening academic and research ties between the two universities. Walailak University looks forward to fruitful collaborations with CCU, promoting innovation and excellence in higher education.

Duration: 8 weeks to 6 months (March to December).
