From December 13–14, 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kampanat Sookmak, Deputy Director of Walailak University Science Park, together with the Walailak Entrepreneur Development Academy (WEDA), led student teams from Walailak University to compete in the 12th Research to Market (R2M) regional competition held at Prince of Songkla University.
This year, Walailak University proudly sent seven teams to the competition. Among them, Team MedElite, comprised of students from the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering Program, earned the second runner-up prize with their outstanding presentation showcasing innovative potential and commercial viability.
Additionally, Team Artimis from Walailak University secured the championship title and will join Team MedElite in representing Walailak University at the national competition. Alongside them, three other teams from Thaksin University and Prince of Songkla University also advanced to the next stage.
The R2M competition provides a platform for students to transform their knowledge in science, technology, and innovation into commercially viable products and services. It also develops key skills in marketing and project management.
The success of Team MedElite and Team Artimis highlights the exceptional capabilities of Walailak University students and reflects the strong support provided by the Science Park and WEDA in nurturing their talents for national-level competitions.
