On Saturday, January 4, 2025, the Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence program, under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University, organized the “Open SET” event. This academic open house welcomed 95 Grade 10 students from Triam Udom Suksa Southern School. The event aimed to promote the Faculty of Engineering and Technology by showcasing its programs, teaching methods, laboratory facilities, and extracurricular opportunities.
Participants engaged in exciting and educational activities designed to inspire and expand their understanding of modern engineering. The students explored key aspects of the Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence program, including sessions on “Intelligent System Innovation Development” and “Introduction to AI with CiRA Core.” These hands-on experiences allowed attendees to immerse themselves in the principles of artificial intelligence and the innovative technologies shaping the future of the field. The atmosphere was filled with energy and enthusiasm as students discovered the potential of a career in engineering.
Led by Asst. Prof. Korakot Suwannarat, head of the Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence program, the event also featured guided tours of cutting-edge laboratories. Students had the opportunity to observe advanced equipment and tools used in the program’s curriculum, gaining firsthand insight into the educational and practical aspects of the field.
This activity highlighted the program’s commitment to fostering interest and passion among young students in pursuing engineering studies. By offering a glimpse into the vibrant academic environment and state-of-the-art resources available at Walailak University, the event sought to motivate and guide aspiring engineers toward a bright and promising future.
