The School of Engineering and Technology, Walailak University, extends its heartfelt congratulations to its students for successfully securing funding worth over 100,000 THB under the Youth Startup category. The funding was provided by the Technology and Innovation Entrepreneur Development Fund (TED Fund) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI).
The team, named Hevea, was led by Ms. Supalak Promrak and included team members Mr. Yotakorn Srichantra, Mr. Santisak Waruswongsakul, Ms. Wanwaree Khumphet from the Petrochemical and Polymer Engineering program, and Mr. Nusuhar Hemna from the Civil Engineering program. They were guided by their advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suruk Kongthong, throughout the project development process.
The funding ceremony was held during the TED Fund Grant Day 2024 on November 15, 2024. This significant event brought together youth entrepreneurs from across the country who were awarded funding in the fiscal year 2024. The event celebrated TED Fund’s achievements in empowering and creating opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to confidently and sustainably enter the global market.
Team Hevea showcased their innovative and technological prowess by presenting a project that emphasizes the application of engineering knowledge related to materials and eco-friendly design. The students’ dedication and teamwork, combined with the support of their advisor, fostered creative thinking and innovative applications of technology.
The achievement also marks a pivotal step in instilling confidence in the students as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey. It serves as an inspiration for them to continue developing ideas and projects in the future. Furthermore, it sets an excellent example for other students aspiring to excel in innovation and technology
