On November 16-17, 2024, the School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University organized a training program on the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System for third-year students from the Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Chemistry program. The event was held at Academic Building 4 and aimed to enhance students’ knowledge of environmental management standards while preparing them for future professional roles.
The training was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kowit Suwannahong, an expert from the Faculty of Public Health at Burapha University. He provided in-depth lectures and practical insights on key aspects of ISO 14001:2015, covering environmental management, corporate responsibility, and best practices for implementing environmental management systems.
The program focused on fostering a comprehensive understanding of the core concepts and principles of the ISO 14001:2015 standard, along with strategies for applying these principles in industrial and organizational contexts. The interactive sessions included lectures and discussions, enabling students to engage directly with the expert and gain valuable perspectives on real-world applications.
This training program was part of the university’s initiative to promote experiential learning and to prepare students for careers in their respective fields. It aimed to ensure that students could apply the knowledge gained to address environmental challenges and contribute to sustainable development in their future professions.
