On Saturday, September 14, 2024, first-year students from the Electrical Engineering program engaged in an out-of-classroom learning experience at the Khanom Power Plant Learning Center in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The activity integrated classroom learning from the Electrical Engineering Concepts course, taught by Assistant Professor Dr. Charernkiat Pochaiya, to help students understand the processes and operations after having studied the theory in class.
The Electrical Engineering program at Walailak University emphasizes a blend of classroom learning, field trips, and hands-on practice to provide students with practical experience and self-development in their professional fields.
As part of this approach, the Electrical Engineering program organized an industrial site visit project to allow students to observe and understand real-world operations and systems within a workplace. This initiative aims to enhance the students’ knowledge and integrate what they have learned from both classroom teaching and on-site experiences. The goal is to support their academic growth, project work, or research, and prepare them for cooperative education.
The objectives of promoting student activities in the Electrical Engineering program are as follows:
- To help students learn and understand real-world operational processes in workplaces.
- To academically prepare students before they enter cooperative education.
- To facilitate knowledge exchange and learning.
- To provide students with insights into job characteristics, basic engineering concepts, and inspire their studies.
