On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, the Electrical Engineering program of the School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University organized a farewell ceremony for the 4th-year students before they embark on their cooperative education journey. Faculty members joined the event to congratulate the students, with participation from 1st to 3rd-year students who also came to celebrate. The event featured plays, songs, and games, creating a warm and special atmosphere. After the faculty members gave their blessings, the 4th-year students performed a traditional ceremony to express their gratitude and seek forgiveness from their teachers.
This event aims to prepare and instill confidence in students as they step into the outside world after completing their studies at the School of Engineering and Technology. The program hopes that the students, who are soon to graduate, will be well-prepared to face the world with confidence—whether in job applications, job interviews, securing positions they love and desire, or pursuing further studies. It also seeks to foster a sense of love, attachment, and pride in graduating from the school, along with a positive attitude and the ability to plan their future lives appropriately.
The Electrical Engineering program organized this activity to allow the prospective graduates and faculty to engage in discussions and share various pieces of information in a relaxed environment. This exchange provided in-depth insights into each student’s academic experiences, reflecting on the challenges they faced and how the curriculum can be improved. This will be beneficial for continuously monitoring, supporting, and assisting students and will serve as valuable information for planning the development of the student support system. Faculty members and academic staff joined in congratulating the prospective graduates, with each class year performing and presenting gifts to them.
