The School of Engineering and Technology at Walailak University organized the Engineering Relationship Sports Event from Wednesday, August 1 to August 6, 2024. Registration took place between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM, followed by an opening speech by the Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology. The event featured various sports competitions, including chairball, tug-of-war, Superman race, dodgeball, and a chairball match between students and faculty members. The event concluded with an awards ceremony led by the Dean and a communal meal.
The Engineering Relationship Sports Event was organized to bridge the gap and strengthen the relationships among first- to fourth-year students across all disciplines. It also aimed to prepare the student teams for supporting first-year students in upcoming activities. The event focused on team-based sports competitions, emphasizing fun and excitement among peers, juniors, seniors, and faculty members within the school. The goal was to foster good relationships, share love and positivity, and build strong bonds within the community.
Students were randomly selected across various disciplines and year levels to encourage interaction and connections among students from different fields of study. Faculty members who participated were randomly assigned teams on the day of the event.
The event was a great success, thanks to the cooperation of both students and faculty members within the School of Engineering and Technology, especially the dedication of the Engineering and Technology Student Club in organizing the activities.
